The Bowen Clan

After Missoula we headed to southern Idaho to visit my family. We hung out with the Bowen side of the family. In this picture are by Brother's families (Kerry (in Hawaiian Shirt), Wallace (standing near Kerry in blue, white red shirt), and David (sitting in red plaid shirt). My sister-in-law, Nedra is holding Sophia.
As always we have a blast with the Bowen family as there is something always going on...family chit chat around the dinner table (good discussion on politics with my brothers), playing games or cards with, or playing Rockstar.
I have great memories with the Bowen's. I remember one time years ago (maybe 10 years ago) my brothers and sisters and I played musical chairs...now keep in mind we were in our 30's and 40's. It was pretty fun as we jumped over chairs and pushed each other away.
On this trip, my brother Kerry and Lonny went motor bike riding up the mountain by where they live. A few days later they went snowmobiling. According to Lonny he had a near death experience. Apparently they were snowmobiling in pretty intense areas that were not his skill level. He got stuck and he group that he was with didn't realize he was stuck so he was left "for dead" for 10 minutes. It really shook him up as he was on a super steep mountain that he was unfamiliar with. Nevertheless, Lonny and Kerry have a good time together.
On Sunday we went to church with the Bowen family to my nephew Ryan's farewell (he's sitting left of David in the plaid shirt). A farewell is when a missionary gives his testimony and talk prior to leaving on his mission for 2 years (LDS Mission). Ryan will serve in Puebla Mexico. I think it'll be a great experience for him.
