Lonny and his sisterOn Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, Lonny and I went up to Redding, CA (4 hours from our house) to visit his sister and extended family. They threw a Luau party for a college graduation and birthday of members of the family. It was nice to spend time with them. Lonny's neice, Casie loves her uncle so much!
Some of the extended family are foster parents so they are now taking care of 4 foster kids. The kids were so well behaved and had such a great time at the party. It was sad to know their life story. Three of them were siblings and their mother went to prison for drugs. The fourth lived out of a car for the first 4 years of his life. They were such great kids (18 months to 5 years old). Lonny wanted to take Alex home. Alex was so well spoken, had awesome manners, and really liked sports. Alex had dark hair with beautiful blue eyes! Gorgeous. BUT he only wants to be adopted by a family who will adopt him and his brother and sister.
The luau was fun and it was great to be around good company!
